What most people tend to do is buy the cheapest truck with the cheapest possible setup (IVECO), and buy that for each driver. Let them level up, same as you did yourself. Focus on a a balance between long distance, high-value and fragile cargo and just-in-time. The AI will nearly always complete them in time.
