start practicing on easier to BS enemies. try the aldrich faithful in anor londo for pivots, and the four pronged plow hollows in undead settlement for strafe stabs. roll backstabs are not optimal in pve, and even pivots are more of a pvp thing, although they do work well on some enemies. most of your backstabs in pve will be strafe stabs. start on a four pronged plow hollow. lock on, sprint
